Torque Bar (standard pivot)

This is our standard model of torque bar, which secures the axle in the forks or rear dropouts, bracing the twisting forces of the motor (specifically the axle) against your frame.

This model is suited to the thicker 14mm axles, or you can get it for 12mm axle too (please note this if ordering and you have a 12mm axle).

This model is suitable for straightforward mounting requirements (some dropouts will require one of our other more adjustable models, see below).

You should use two Torque Bars with direct drive motors, and they should pivot in opposite directions on each side, to brace against the acceleration and regen forces, which try to push the axle in different directions. This model is usually good for one side on the rear, and we recommend the rear wheel model for the drive side. If running disc brakes, you may need that type for both sides, because it has far more adjustment to work around your bikes accessories.
