Greenspeed Magnum Recumbent Trike

Recumbent trikes are the ultimate in comfort and stability, allowing enthusiastic cyclists to continue their passion, beyond life on 2 wheels.

The Magnum trike was originally launched by GreenSpeed in 2012 (made in Melbourne back then!), and has been a popular best seller since then.  REV worked with Greenspeed prior to the passing in 2019 of its founder Ian Sims.  The brand is now owned by American company WizWheels, and we are able to import these trikes for custom builds as required.  Contact us to see if we have a demo trike available to test ride now.

The current model Magnum retains the unique features of the earlier Magnum which made it so popular, the adjustable seat height and angle adjustment, excellent weight rating of up to 180kg, plus the on road and off road capabilities.  It comes with hybrid tyres, for all-surface riding, is its biggest plus is that it is a FOLDING recumbent trike, allowing users to transport it in most average cars.

To strengthen the frame over the earlier Magnum, they are using a rectangular section main tube, this tubing is both stronger and lighter than the round tubing used on the original Magnum, plus it allows quick and easy adjustment of the boom for leg length without having to realign the cranks each time, and positively prevents the cranks from twisting under sudden acceleration. Rather than the “Ved” cross member of the early Magnums, the SD cross member is curved like the GT20, to allow the riders to stand closer to the seat, for easier entry and exit.

There are 2 variants now, the Magnum XL (a bit wider and taller seat, and longer boom with wider wheelbase) and the Magnum BW (having a 26" wheel at the rear, making it a bit more upright, and great for long distance touring.
