Folding bikes are equally 'at-home' packed into the RV for the road trip or heading into the city on the train for a mixed mode commute.  The mudguards, rack and side-stand, all add to the bikes practical credentials. The comfortable, 'up-right' riding position is great for a leisurely meander on holidays, it also provides more visibility whilst in urban traffic. Adding an electric motor adds more usability, particularly for longer trips or arriving at the office a little 'fresher'. Folding bikes are best suited to installing the lightweight and compact saddlebag battery. The small 36v 10ah bag battery can power this bike for at least 30 kilometres per charge, a lot more on flat rail trails. Using a 250w hub motor (1.6kg), this kit weighs around 3.8kg in total (including battery).
