The CYC Photon Gen 2 mid-drive motor features advanced torque sensing technology, this provides a seamless and intuitive pedal assist experience for the rider.  Teamed with the RideApp and optional GPS-tracker-infused Intuition Display, this system is on the cutting edge of techy ebike kit!

The high-quality helical gear motor design gives a very smooth ride. Compact and lightweight, the system offers subtlety with punch! Peak torque is 120Nm and the system can be installed in 68 – 120mm bottom brackets and in pressfit bottom bracket systems using the relevant adapter.

The Photon Gen 2 features advanced torque sensing technology which results in one of the best pedal assist sensitivity feels in the e-bike market. CYC’s in-house developed firmware tuning and a robust sprag clutch. The CYC torque sensor ensures instant engagement and an intuitive pedal assist experience.

A super-clever torque sensing module features both a strain-gauge and a cadence sensing module. The high number of poles on the cadence sensor ensure that the sensitivity is controlled to a much higher degree. It also provides the opportunity for the rider to finetune the firmware depending on rider inputs.

The pedal assist firmware algorithm is CYC’s own special recipe sauce! Engineers were stretched to produced it, but the finished system offers a very refined and intuitive pedal assist experience.

The latest X-Controller Series is built to give the ultimate freedom. In-house firmware optimizes the throttle & pedal assist experience. Paired together with the CYC Ride Control mobile app, you can unleash all the possibilities yourself, to maximise enjoyment, for the way you like to ride.

The modular design of the system ensures that it can be installed in a wide variety of bikes with multiple frame fit options.  We are one of very few Workshops installing these systems to the highest standards, endorsed by CYC themselves!
