The latest, highly developed motor software in combination with the Pendix bike PRO App provides an innovation system. Riders can decide whether they want the full motor support or whether to have the maximum range, for a longer touring ride for example. This new function called "Drive Profiles" allows individual settings to be made, this enables the rider to choose to have just the right amount of support throughout their ride.
However, it’s not all about the App and the understated nature of our power pack. The entire construction reflects the development competence of the engineers at Pendix. The motor is just 3 cm deep and has a diameter of less than 30 cm. The smart technology is packed into this space and protected from the external environmental impacts by the protective metal casing.
The motor in the Pendix eDrive system does not require any gears at all, so there are no mechanical wear parts. Where there is no wear and tear, there is no maintenance, so you get a motor that is maintenance-free. The gearless design also has two other advantages. Firstly, it is absolutely noiseless. Secondly, when the motor is switched off, there is virtually no resistance from the motor. This allows users can decide for themselves when they decide they need assistance, or alternatively continue to use the bike as a regular bike.
